A Lifelong Dedication to John Denver’s Music and Message

Jim Curry’s journey as a singer and musician began with a full Rotary International scholarship to study music and voice, and he was selected to portray the voice of John Denver in CBS’s “Take Me Home, the John Denver Story.” This role affirmed Curry’s deep connection to John Denver’s music, and he has since dedicated his life to preserving Denver’s legacy of love and respect for our planet.

Bringing John Denver’s Music to Thousands

Since 2002, Jim Curry and his band have reintroduced Denver’s music to thousands, rekindling the spirit of America’s Troubadour in venues across the country. Curry has even collaborated with original John Denver band members, adding authenticity to his performances in prestigious venues. His behind-the-scenes work includes preserving Denver’s music by working with Lee Holdridge to restore Denver’s original symphony arrangements.

Honoring John Denver in the Hall of Fame and Beyond

Curry was a key performer at John Denver’s induction into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, an event hosted by Olivia Newton-John. He also hosted the official John Denver Estate tour, bringing Denver’s music to audiences across the United States and Australia.

New Projects and Original Songs

Curry’s latest project, Such a Wild Place, produced by John Denver’s former band members Pete Huttlinger and Chris Nole, features four of Curry’s original songs along with three unreleased tracks by John Denver. This project highlights Curry’s commitment to both preserving and expanding Denver’s musical legacy.

Bringing Denver’s Songs to Worldwide Audiences

Jim Curry continues to share John Denver’s beloved songs around the world, performing on cruise ships, in symphony halls, and at performing arts centers.
