December Will Be Magic Again With Tomball Holiday Traditions

If you’ll be in the Houston, Texas metro area this December, consider visiting nearby Tomball, a picturesque small town with plenty of Christmas traditions and holiday cheer to go around. Here are some excellent local options for slowing down and actually enjoying your holiday season this year: 

  • Deck the Depot. Deck the Depot takes place on December 7, 2024 at 4 pm. It’s an annual Christmas festival for the whole family complete with rides, street vendors, choirs, storytellers, and activities for kids. The icing on the gingerbread house, as it were? Kids can have their picture taken with Santa for free. 

  • The Tomball German Festival Christmas Market. The Tomball German Festival Christmas Market will be held on December 13th-15th. This family-friendly street festival features no fewer than 3 live music stages and an open-air market in Old Town. It includes a parade, other local performances, street vendors, food, wine, and Tomball’s annual German beer keg tapping event. 

  • Christmas tree farms. Throughout the month of December, you can find the perfect Christmas tree at any of several tree farms near Tomball. The closest options include the Old Time Christmas Tree Farm, La Escondida Tree Farm, Family Roots TX, and Spring Creek Growers.
