As an adult, it can be hard to access the magic that the month of December once brought to many of us as children. Each year, our calendars fill up with holiday obligations that we fulfill with considerably less than bells on: office parties, childrens’ school performances, shopping, errands, certain family dinners, and more. Yet if you make your holiday plans early, you can carve out time to savor the true spirit of the season with community events. If you need to escape city crowds and traffic, events in smaller communities can be a real breath of fresh air.
